NATURE OF THE JOB

 

Basic Purpose & Objective of the Position:

 

Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; recommends qualified candidates to hiring managers; arranges final interviews and facilitates the decision making process; closes candidates and ensures successful on-boarding.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Establishes recruiting requirements by studying job descriptions/qualification as well as organization plans and objectives.  May also meet with hiring managers to discuss needs.

 

Builds and maintains candidate pool through the use of internet, networking, referrals, cold calling, colleges, and various media sources.

 

Provides organization information, opportunities, and benefits to candidates; makes presentations and maintains rapport.

 

Qualifies applicants through the use of phone screens, interviews, assessment tests, or references.

 

Presents qualified candidates to hiring managers with proof of due diligence.

 

Arranges management interview by coordinating schedules

 

Coordinates travel arrangements with candidates.

 

Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks

 

Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislations; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures.

 

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

 Knowledge of effective techniques for recruiting and on-boarding employment candidates

 

 

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

 1-2 years of recruiting experience, preferably salespeople

 

 

Other Training/Technical Skills/Knowledge:

 Strong written and verbal communication skills

 Excellent computer skills, include database usage/management

 Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
