Executive Assistant to CCO / COO

Square 1 Bank is a de novo commercial bank specializing in venture lending and headquartered in Durham, NC. We provide nation-wide banking and financial services to entrepreneurial technology and life sciences companies, as well as to the Venture Capital community. Square 1 Bank is the first bank specializing in venture lending to be headquartered outside of Silicon Valley, CA and we are looking for bright, energetic individuals to join our team.  POSITION SUMMARY The Executive Assistant will provide administrative duties to support the efforts of the Chief Credit Officer including: scheduling meetings and appointments, arranging travel, answering phones, taking and transcribing notes, maintaining files, preparing reports and coordinating special events. This position will interface with company executives/ personnel, customers, board members and investors. Works with and performs team functions with other administrative staff.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Supports Chief Credit Officer in calendar schedules and day to day responsibilities; Develops and prepares confidential and business correspondence; Greets incoming guests; Interfaces with multiple executives and business leaders; Maintains executive calendar; Manages assigned projects; Participates in meetings and records minutes; Attends organizational events; Prepares expense reports; Supports executive on special projects; Interfaces with internal and external business leaders; Performs word processing (Word), spreadsheet (Excel) and presentation (PowerPoint) documents and reports



JOB SPECIFICATIONS: AA or BA in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience; 6-10 years work experience; Strong organizational skills Professional discretionary skills; ability to understand and deal with confidential matters; Strong word processing, spreadsheet and presentation application skills; Strong attention to detail, accuracy and time management; Knowledge of office procedures; Excellent communication skills that encompass verbal, written and listening; Ability to multi-task and work independently. Ability to work on many tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment; Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and make decisions; Organization, attention to detail oriented and the ability to complete tasks effectively and in a timely manner; Previous experience as a customer service representative or receptionist helpful.
