We are currently seeking an Executive Manager for the Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking to join our team of professionals in our branch in New York, NY.
The Head of Corporate and Institutional banking is responsible for the management of the Bank’s US corporate and institutional client relationships and oversees the private banking and trade finance functions. They will lead the overall marketing activities of the branch and direct the credit processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Corporate and Institutional account relationships in New York and globally, working with the International and Kuwait branches.Utilizes the bank’s global network in trade-related financing solutions.Management of the overall branch marketing program, including trade finance, contractor finance, corporate accounts and US$ clearing for NY Branch and liaising with NBK regional offices and affiliates;Manage credit processes and real estate activities.Identify, evaluate and implement new investment products and strategies, including industry and country sectors.Initiate and administer NBK’s credit policies and procedures, including Industry & Product Policy Reviews;Manage the credit analysis, review and administrative processes for all credit facilities;Approve all proposed extensions of credit facilities to customers prior to the General Manager’s review and IBG headquarters for final approvalCorporate CreditsReal Estate CreditsBank LimitsCountry Limits
Manage the lending and client advisory functions for Real Estate investmentsSupervise the management and day-to-day operation of the Private and Correspondent Banking departments and the Trade Finance unit;Approve intra-day and overnight overdrafts within the approved limits established by Head Office;Chairman and member of the New York Credit Committee;Chairman and member of New York and Grand Cayman Allowance for Loan & Lease Losses committeesMember of the Risk Management and Asset/Liability CommitteesChief liaison with IBG credit in London
Job Requirements:
15 years of corporate lending experienceBachelors degree preferably in Business (MBA preferred)MUST be fluent in Arabic; will be the senior level liaison with our Arab speaking clientsKnowledge of International contracting and trade finance business.Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws for corporate lendingAbility to analyze and recommend solutions to management and staffMust possess strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skillsDelegate work appropriately, and develop and train othersBe a team player and motivate others as well as build and maintain relationshipsAbility to interact at all levelsGenerate atmosphere of trust and cooperation
Benefits & Compensation:
