Fannie Mae Multifamily Underwriting Team Lead - Grandbridge Real Estate Capital

Grandbridge Real Estate Capital (a wholly owned subsidiary of BB&T), one of the nation’s leading providers of real estate capital, has an immediate opening in its Atlanta office. Ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance or Real Estate and at least three years of experience underwriting multifamily loans over $3MM for a Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) lender. Specialized knowledge of multifamily affordable housing (low-income housing tax credits or tax-exempt bond financing) is strongly preferred. Candidates must be able to handle multiple tasks and possess strong computer skills including high proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well with the origination team, third-party vendors, clients, and the legal team are required. Supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred. Candidates must also possess significant experience reviewing and analyzing financial statements, rent rolls, appraisals, engineering reports, environmental reports, surveys, title reports, and various real estate-related legal documents for multifamily properties. Applicants must have experience creating and presenting extensive underwriting submissions to a credit or loan committee. Travel will be required for property site inspections.
