Field Recruiting Specialist
Description:The Field Recruiting Specialist is responsible for the overall advisor candidate experience, representing Ameriprise Financial and the brand. This position will primarily be focused on sourcing, engaging potential recruiting candidates from College and Career Changer target segments as well as supporting FVP efforts to reach Experienced Advisor and other Finance Professionals. This position will develop, implement, coordinate and manage relationship recruiting activities and processes for the area office as well as conduct the majority of initial interviews with candidates.Relationship Recruiting-Identify, develop and execute local relationship recruiting opportunities (centers of influence, local events, job fairs, campus, networking, and referral)-Coordinate all recruiting events and promote referral recruiting for the area office-Identify trends and opportunities in the local and regional markets to source quality candidates through face-to-face and interactive events -Represent Ameriprise Financial at recruiting and related events -Intimately familiar with the advisor value proposition as it relates to the various candidate segmentations (novice, career changer, and experienced professional)Sourcing and Recruiting-Identify trends in order to promote and call target market candidates in local and regional markets-Convincingly convey the advisor opportunity to broad range of candidates (novice, career changer and experienced)-Conduct warm calls with advisor candidate prospects to explain advisor position and engage them in the advisor selection process (attend career preview or 1:1 with Field Vice President)-Track activity and conversion results -Solicit and Conduct initial interviews for select groups of candidatesEnsure advisor selection process is a quality experience-Set up for Career Preview presentations-Set up candidates for testing, call simulations and the marketing plan-Schedule and confirm final interviews Manage and track candidates through recruiting and sponsorship processes -Analyze information and conversion results to proactively suggest process improvements and enhancements-Responsible for overall pipeline management including performing updates, entering locally sourced candidates, and recording presentation attendance-Follow-up on all no shows-Serve as a point of contact for issue resolution-Diagnose and trouble shoot system and process issues, escalate as appropriate to reach resolution-Report and update Leadership Team weekly on recruiting activity, pipeline progress Licensing Process-Conduct licensing and paperwork appointments-Explain and interpret applicable hiring regulations-Diagnose process and candidate issues, work with field leadership and corporate office to resolveThis position is located in: Long Beach, CA.Qualifications:Required:- Sales experience and/or demonstrated influencing skills- Recruiting experience- Recruiting Plan Execution/Implementation- Strong interpersonal skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Strong professional presence- Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize effectively- Strong understanding of advisor value proposition- Basic knowledge of industry and competitors as well as aware of regional and local job markets preferred- Ability to work independently with high initiative while also comfortable with working as a team member to drive recruiting results- Strong technology skills Excel and Word- Proficiency at searching internet databases- 2-5 years of professional experience; financial services background desirable- College degree or equivalent- Experience influencing people to accomplish business goals without direct authority- Work experience in multiple settings (field and corporate office, or field and non-Ameriprise positions)- Ability to analyze recruiting, selection and hiring information and provide solutions to area office and market leaders to drive results- Ability to identify gaps and make recommended changes to processes, to corporate recruiting partners, and recruiting vendors- Ability to deal quickly with changes- Creative, conceptual skills in organizing information and communicating key messages that result in uptake- Ability to perform role with minimal day to day supervision- Able to work non-traditional hours- Ability to partner with market group leadership team to develop and implement area office recruiting plan- Ability to drive relationship recruiting efforts by identifying sourcing and networking opportunities - Ability to track effectiveness of sourcing channels- Ability to create and implement change, drive results and hold others accountableSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceWe offer competitive benefits to eligible employees (including medical, dental, and vision plans).
