Field Services Tech II
This individual will be responsible for the problem resolution and service support of the assigned data center, geographic area and/or client sites. The geographic area could include support of all operating locations and multiple branch offices within a major metropolitan area or state. Individual is skilled in resolving complex problems with critical components that affect multiple user and/or large geographic areas.Installs, relocates, removes and maintains voice, and on-line data processing equipment including computers, servers, ATMs, Tele-communications equipment, and LAN/PC hardware/software. This individual may assist in planning and coordination of project and remediation activities.You and your skills - Working knowledge of computer hardware, on-line networks and related components, operating environments and the related components Working knowledge of LAN/WAN components, configuration principles and procedures Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, VOIP, SNA, X25, etc.) Working knowledge of Category 5 wiring, cross connects, punch downs and horizontal data and voice wiring. Two years of college, vocational, or technical school training resulting in an associates degree or the equivalent Candidate must have the ability to identify and resolve basic problems without supervision, and resolve more complex problems with direct supervision.
