It’s you.The Senior Consultant position is a high level assignment that is responsible for supporting the implementation of long-range plans and initiatives that will improve the District Facilities Management function, reduce costs, and ensure the Bank’s short and long-range space needs are met. The position also acts as a special project advisor to department management on Facilities issues and coordinates the expense and capital budget for District Facilities Management. Support department groups dealing with complex issues affecting the management or operation of the Facilities function; Maintain a detailed understanding of FRB accounting, expense and capital budgeting, and PACS rules; Create and analyze complex costing models, pricing proposals, and other financial documents related to building activity; Maintain a working knowledge of construction and professional services contracts, lease agreements and other legal contracts/obligations necessary for the management of the facility; Maintain relationships with key facilities managers/staff throughout the District, as well as Board of Governors staff. Support management in the development and presentation of position papers and other documents to obtain senior management approval or recommend a course of action.
Essential Skills
A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and a minimum of four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and forecasting techniques.Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Detailed working knowledge of the following software: word processing (e.g. Microsoft Word) spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft EXCEL); e-mail (Lotus Notes Mail), internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer).Ability to develop good working relationships with others – peers, vendors, real estate brokers, insurance broker, branch management, and Board of Governors staff – that promote cooperation, honesty, and integrity.Ability to manage multiple assignments, allocate resources appropriately, gain cooperation and support from others to meet deadlines.Maintain detailed knowledge of FRB budgeting, capital accounting, and PACS rules.
