Financial Planning and Analysis Director

Position Summary:: This position reports to the Vice President, Treasurer and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis and requires an energetic individual who is a self-starter and team player.  The position interacts with the most senior members of the executive team, and may require interaction with the Company’s board of directors.  The individual must have the highest level of character and discretion, as the Company is publicly-traded and the individual will be managing material non-public information.

The role involves the management of the bank-wide financial planning and budgeting process.  The candidate must be prepared to develop and maintain financial modeling and reporting for business unit profitability, asset liability management, and interest rate risk.  The candidate will be involved in the preparation of portfolio and acquisition analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:Utilize IPS-Sendero Budgeting & Planning System to consolidate data and prepare the annual budget for review and approval by senior management and the Board of Directors.Participate with the development and maintenance of modeling and reporting for business unit profitability including expense allocations and transfer pricing methodologies.Develop and maintain modeling to report on the Bank’s interest rate risk profile.Assist in the enhancement and production of the Bank’s various monthly management and board reports including variance to budget analysis with written commentary and interaction with business units discussing variance concerns.Manage the preparation, distribution, consolidation and reporting of the bank-wide annual budget process.Produce various reports to provide analysis and commentary regarding performance.Utilize Bloomberg and SNL Financial Online databases to access and research securities, interest rate, and peer group analytics.Assist in M&A analytics, including scenario analysis, accretion/dilution analysis, imputed valuation, synergy assumptions, Goodwill and Intangibles analysis, etc. Prepare analysis and reports for the Bank’s lending, investment and deposit portfolios.

Background and Experience:

· 5+ years experience in the banking industry.

· College degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance

· MBA a plus.

· Exceptionally strong analytical skills

·Knowledge of  asset/liability management and budgeting & forecasting, including: interest rate risk, profitability analysis, and transfer pricing.

· Interest in learning IPS-Sendero Budgeting & Planning System

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and accounting software.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Ability to make sound judgments and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
