Neighbors Credit Union is a financial institution looking to hire personable, highly motivated, detail oriented, front line employees for our Floater-Teller Teams.

 

The right candidates will be hired for either our North Team or our South Team.  Floater Tellers will be trained and scheduled to assist with all routine transactions at various locations in their assigned area.


Primary Function:
To assist members by offering Credit Union products or services to make the member’s financial success your first priority. The Floater Teller will also assist the member with their financial transactions, such as: disbursing and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments. The Floater Teller holding this position will be based out of South County and scheduled to provide service to the Downtown and South region branches, or as Floater Teller based out of Howdershell to provide assistance to any and all of the North region branches.

Some of the major duties consist of, but not limited to:

¨  Assist members by offering credit union products or services to make the members financial success your first priority.

¨  Dispersing and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.

¨  Receive and process member financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments.

¨ Sell money orders, traveler’s checks and tickets to members.

¨  Transfer amounts from member’s accounts as directed.

¨  Balance cash drawer and daily transactions.

¨  Provide member assistance to problems to ensure member satisfaction.

¨  Attends training sessions as directed by Supervisor to keep skills current.

¨  Other duties as assigned including computer input.

 

Skills, knowledge, experience and requirements:

¨  Operates as a full time teller, shared branch teller, under independent assignment from the branch where he/she is based.

¨  Work schedule must be flexible to meet the needs of all assigned regional branches and to meet the needs of the members, to provide optimum member service.

¨  High school diploma or equivalent, with at least six months experience as a teller in a credit union or other financial institution, or must have other appropriate cash handling or service.

¨  Must be able to communicate with members both verbally and in writing.

¨  Work involves personal contact with others inside and outside the organization.

¨  Must be good with details to deal with numbers and names.

¨  Must use a ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch.

¨  Adhere to company policies

¨  Able to meet company standards and requirements.

¨  Meet and complete goals as set by company.

¨  Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

¨  Must be able to lift up to twenty pounds with reasonable accommodation.

¨  Able to perform intermediate math such as calculations involving fractions, percentages and decimals.

¨  Must possess good work ethic and professional appearance.

¨ Keeps all member and credit union information union confidential.

Ability of speaking Spanish and Serb o-Croatian (Bosnian Language) is a plus.
