Foreign Exchange Forward Trader
Major International Bank located in midtown Manhattan is seeking a Foreign Exchange Forward Trader to join our proprietary trading desk.
Responsibilities include:- Actively buys and sells currencies in the foreign exchange market. Assists in the establishment of competitive foreign exchange rates in accordance with prevailing market conditions.
- Takes proprietary positions on behalf of the Bank.
- Capitalizes on proprietary revenue opportunities.- Keeps management informed of exchange rates and market developments.- Stays current with foreign, domestic, economic and political developments which could have an effect on the foreign exchange market or on a future purchase or sale commitment. - Works with back office personnel to ensure soundness of all transactions. - Performs other duties, as assigned, which fall within scope of responsibility. Candidate must have five to ten years experience in trading forward G-10 currencies. Must have proprietary trading background with a proven track record of profitability and handling customer flow.
