Help shape a brand new role within our Members Capital Advisor team! We are seeking an uncommon professional to join our team as a Funds Liaison Director. As a part of the Managed Accounts and Mutual Fund team, we will look to you to serve as the primary funds liaison relationship manager between fund portfolio managers, funds product management, marketing and operations in addition to serving as the liaison between Members Capital Advisors and outside money managers/sub-advisors.
Top responsibilities for this position include…
• Meet fund flow targets and AUM levels at both the product and fund levels through sound risk-adjusted performance and the related marketing support for advisor-clients, as well as establish the overall revenue and profit contribution at product levels through negotiated sales and revenue sharing agreements
• Facilitate appropriate communication and drive the creation of marketing talking points around investment approach, philosophy and process; current portfolio construction rationale; RFPs and consultant meeting preparation. Track performance, flows and AUM versus competitive universe. Help drive and orchestrate Funds Board meeting activities.
• Organize and coordinate key issues, resource needs, marketing support opportunities and problem resolution with outside managers in conjunction with the MAP and Fund of Funds investment team.
• Negotiate and execute sales and revenue sharing agreements that optimize sales and revenue flow, primarily for product wrapper level (VA / GA / 401(k) platform)
• Maintain performance and investment reviews on VIT clients and act as training liaison for all constituents involved with the sales and placement of Members Capital Advisor funds or other fund driven vehicles
• Function as Platform Channel Manager including identify, position, sell and support the placement of Members Capital Advisor managed funds and MAP investment capability on outside mutual fund, pension and managed money platforms
• Effectively negotiate selling and revenue sharing agreements that will maximize profitable fund flows
• Serve as a representative of Members Capital Advisors. Act as first level resource when called upon for field sales assistance with credit union accounts where Member Capital Advisor funds are used either directly or through product wrappers and for general presentations, speaking engagements and event hosting
You must bring to the table…
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field with an advanced degree or equivalent level of experience preferred
• Appropriate related designation such as CFA or CIMA as well as FINRA licensing (series 7, 63, 65 or 66) further preferred
• 10+ years of relevant experience in investment management or broker dealer investment-oriented product development, vendor relationship management, sales with specific emphasis on investments/relationship management at the institutional level
• Possess strong knowledge of and experience with fund structures and agreements, product level features (funds, fund of funds, managed money, group and variable annuity, pension platforms) and contract negotiation skills
• Possess excellent persuasion and written & verbal communication skills. Able to work collaboratively with leadership team, investment management, marketing and operations team, Funds Board, as well as other associated areas within Asset Accumulation.
• Ability to travel 25-50%
