Global Proprietary Trading Firm -Head of Desk Roles for NYC and Chicago-High Frequency

Proprietary trading, high frequency, statistical arbitrage, quant, quantitative trading, quant strategies, risk models, multi asset strategies, optimization. electronic trading, portfolio manager. Growing Proprietary Trading firm are looking to increase their capabilities in the area of high frequency statistical arbitrage quant trading and are looking to hire a head of the desk for their offices in NYC and Chicago. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years or more hands on experience within the financial industry and will have a background of proven success in the Quantitative Trading field. As Head of the Desk, your role will be extremely hands on and  you will contribute to the development of systematic trading strategies, leveraging off of the Group’s significant infrastructure, relationships and capital to employ your proven and profitable strategies. You will work very closely with the quantitative analysts and portfolio managers, so superb communications skills are essential, as is the ability to clearly explain how your risk models impact on their ideas.Within a short period of time, you  should be able to introduce a number of strategies which should lead to significant PnL with a high sharp ratio. My client is committed to allocating capital of amounts larger than you would expect to receive at most large Hedge Funds. Due to the sophistication of the electronic trading platform,  all asset class and multi asset strategies can be seamlessly implemented, so my client is happy to meet quantitative candidates from any asset class. You will also be expected to build a team of quants and traders  who are producing new strategies and optimizing existing strategies. Your experience and trading models are the most important requirement for the role. Academic wise-a degree or a Masters in a numerate discipline is satisfactory.
