HEAD TELLER

USAlliance Federal Credit Union, a $550 million not for profit, full services financial institution seeks an experienced HEAD TELLER for our Malden Branch to beresponsible for the accurate and secure handling of the branch cash, assist members and potential members relating to their accounts, cross-sell our products and services and provide guidance and leadership to the Tellers.

 

OVERVIEW OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 Supervise the Tellers in the performance of all duties including providing on the job training to employees.Assist Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager in the daily management of the branch as instructed.Examines checks for endorsement and negotiability.Provide members with their account status, including current balances, account history and loan payoffs and respond to members’ requests, problems and complaints, and escalate as necessary.Complete Currency Transaction Reports as necessary.Responsible for settlement of cash drawer and branch vault(s) on a daily basis.Responsible for settlement of ATM and associated cash.Process stop payments and certify checks.Microfilm daily teller work and check deposits.Prepare daily cash letter for acceptance by the Federal Reserve.Responsible for the reconcilement and shipment of cash via armored courier.Responsible for traveling to other branch locations if needed.Saturday rotation required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:Four years of banking experience including Head Teller experience. Bachelor’s Degree.Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully and professionally with employees and members. Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent computer skills
