The Analyst in this role provides business, data and process analysis support to the management of WaMu’s Employee Service Center (ESC), which handles inquiries from current and former employees regarding HR Guidelines, online self-service tools, payroll and job changes. Responsibilities include business analysis and solution development; reporting via Remedy, Crystal Reports Viewer, Avaya CMS and Kana; data analysis, to include ticket tracking, contact patterns, resource utilization, service quality and other measures, as required; leading small-scale process improvement and solution implementation projects; conducting or facilitating meetings, working sessions and training; forecasting and scheduling for 20 Employee Service Specialists. Incumbents will be expected to become Subject Matter Experts in ESC business processes, systems and data; be able to identify, understand and analyze business issues and develop effective action plans; partner with leadership, Specialists and Analysts to identify and document Business Requirements; be able to fully understand the meaning and relevance of data and effectively present and explain it to diverse audiences; anticipate business needs and provide proactive consultation and potential solutions; efficiently coordinate efforts with Technology and vendors to manage system issues; participate in or lead change management processes, including User Acceptance Testing and development and deployment of training; establish effective working relationships according to requirements of position; and perform other duties as assigned. Ideal background would include extensive experience in business and data analysis and reporting, along with strong problem-solving and project leadership skills.Requirements: Minimum of 1 year process analysis experience Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Proficiency in Microsoft Access Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Minimum of 2 years business analysis experience Minimum of 2 years data analytics and reporting experience Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team Preferred: Experience using WaMu’s Operational Excellence methodology or related methods, such as Six Sigma, Lean Method or Total Quality Management Experience using WaMu’s Operational Excellence methodology or related methods, such as Six Sigma, Lean Method or Total Quality Management • Experience, including forecasting and scheduling, in a call center or help desk environment • Ability to write data queries • Experience using reporting tools • Experience using and/or administering call management systems • Understanding of WaMu Operational Excellence or related methods, such as Six Sigma, Lean Method or Total Quality Management • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related Experience using WaMu’s Atlas Project Management Methodology or generally accepted project management practices Experience using Remedy, Crystal Reports Viewer, Avaya CMS and Kana reporting tools Call center or help desk experience, including forecasting, scheduling and administering call management systems Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related disciplineWashington Mutual is an equal opportunity employer.
