Hazard Insurance Specialist II (11:00am to 8:00pm) - Loss Drafts Escalations

This position is Monday - Friday from 11:00am to 8:00pm.  Overtime maybe required weekly and/or Saturday and Sunday hours as workload demands. The Loss Draft Claims Team is directly responsible for ensuring that Our Client does not experience a financial loss on a damaged real estate property.  Specialists in this department are expected to manage 450 claims while holding the ability to make clear and concise judgement decisions when disbursing funds to Customers (Borroweres). The ideal candidate will posses excellent negotiating skills and an out-of-the-box creativity, with regards, to problem solving.  Proven ability to relay accurate and detailed status reports and claim information to various parties via in-bound and out-bound telephone calls.  Claims Specialists will be directly responsible for accessing sensitive monetary accounts and generating fund disbursements on behalf of the Customer and Client.  For success in this position, it is crucial that you demonstrate the ability to organize time sensitive information, respond to inquiries with a sense of urgency, meet critical deadlines, ability to handle escalated calls and handle the daily pressure to deliver results is necessary.Experience: 2-3 years of insurance related experience or similar activity outside the company.  knowledgeable in all the duties of the Specialist I position, or similar positions.  Has gained knowledge & experience with computer system and company products & services.  High School graduate.  Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. Supervision:  Works under direct supervision.  Selects from a variety of established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Skills:  Applies the basic skills learned and begins to develop problem solving skills to the position.  *** The one year rule to transfer has been waived to 10 months in current position*** **PC Testing (MS Word, Excel,and Basic Office Skills-no math) is required** Disclaimer:This description provides the minimum qualifications of this position, but does not necessarily include every responsibility, requirement, skill, or working condition associated with the job.  While this description is intended to accurately reflect the current job, management will review the job, as needed, and may require that different tasks be performed, depending on the circumstances in the workplace.
