The Manager – Field Human Resource is responsible for facilitating the essential Human Resource functions of the branch office and serving as a liaison between the field and the corporate office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Work in a consultative capacity as a business partner to support branch office by identifying and implementing a recruitment strategy using the most cost effective and time-efficient methodologies to attract and hire skilled workers.
• Facilitate the hiring process including researching, evaluating and placement of advertisements in various resources. Identify, coordinate and attend job fairs as needed.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Company’s core business and key competitors.
• Responsible for entering and updating candidate profiles in Recruitment Solutions..
• Evaluate candidate knowledge, skills, and abilities, through testing, thorough interviewing and the compilation of other pertinent candidate data. Partner with applicable management to ensure the selection of qualified and successful candidates.
• Perform reference and background checks including credit and criminal on applicants as applicable.
• Facilitate discussions between supervisors, associates and/or co-workers to resolve interpersonal concerns.
• Provide associate relations support to supervisory and non-supervisory associates in resolving issues related to performance, behavior, and policy compliance. Facilitate the resolution of issues through objective investigation.
• Ensure detailed documentation of associate relation issues.
• Promote and, where applicable, demonstrate Company Business Code of Conduct, policies and Company Mission, Vision and Values.
• Conduct New Associate On-Boarding meetings and ensure hiring supervisors are informed of their orientation responsibilities.
• Compile and review weekly time reports for submission to Payroll Department. Track attendance and tardiness issues.
• Maintain security access to facility; issuing entry badges, and ensures accuracy of database.
• Facilitate benefit meetings including benefit orientation and 401(k) meetings.
• Respond to branch office unemployment claims.
• Compile various monthly, weekly, and daily HR reports.
• Maintain and ensure confidentiality of branch office personnel files.
• Complete special projects as assigned by management.
• Assist with Company sponsored community outreach efforts and associate recognition events.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Civil Rights Act and its amendments and corresponding executive orders; ADA; FMLA; PDA; ADEA; Immigration; EPA, FLSA, etc.
• Supervise the branch office HR Representative or HR Administrator if applicable. o Perform annual reviews for direct reports. o Provide ongoing performance management ensuring two-way ongoing coaching and feedback for direct report.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field. Master Degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum seven years Human Resource experience in an exempt role. Three years Human Resource management experience preferred. Project management experience preferred.
• Technical: Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Supervisory: Strong leadership skills; ability to inspire and motivate others to perform well. Ability to provide continuous performance feedback and encourage growth and development.
• Other: Extensive knowledge of HR best practices. Thorough understanding of HR legislative requirements. Knowledge of HR principles and legal requirements. In depth knowledge and experience in the area of employee relations including conducting investigations, preparing responses to federal agencies and collaborating with legal counsel. Proven successful sourcing abilities to fill open positions. Ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly. Familiar with change management processes and best practices. Knowledge of business processes and management concepts.
Certificates, Licenses Certification through the Society of Human Resource Management (PHR or SPHR) preferred.
May be required to work overtime. Travel required less than 5%.
