IMS Operations Business Analyst

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: College degree in finance, business administration, or management information systems, or, equivalent experience in investment management (or other financial services) operations. 3+ years of computer application and business workflow support preferably in an investment management operations or other financial services environment preferred. Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in SQL queries, Access Databases, and Crystal Reports. Proficiency in the use of personal computers and with Microsoft Word and Excel. 

JOB OVERVIEW: The successful candidate will provide quality service by ensuring administrative and workflow support for the computer applications used in various investment management processes. This position provides an excellent opportunity to become skilled at Working with users, vendors and IMSG technicians, such support will include application access administration, assessment and resolution of production problems, and development and support of queries and reports for information dissemination.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: Application access administration - For business unit supported applications, maintains system access control according to BOH policies and procedures and according to business workflow requirements. Reviews system access requests and adds, changes, and deletes system access privileges such as user IDs, passwords, and access rules. Application production support - Works with users, IMSG technicians, and vendors to respond to, assess and resolve business unit application production problems and questions. Reports and queries - Provides support for the existing portfolio of queries and reports used for information dissemination. Develops new queries and reports as required. Uses Crystal Reports, MS Access, and other tools to access information from databases and distribute it to business users. Answers questions, gathers requirements for improvements, and elaborates such reports and queries as appropriate. Information Security Coordinator (ISC) - Serves as the ISC for IMS Operations business units. Monitors progress towards compliance with information security policies and standards, conducts information security training, and acts as a focal point for answering information security questions. Project management and support ? Serves on project teams as required to improve existing business workflows, develop new business workflows, implement new systems, or improve existing systems.
