IT Help Desk Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 Support the I.T. infrastructure of demanding & growing global financial firm.Supervise of a 6 person team.Support 200+ users in multiple sites.Manager the help desk ticket system and allocate appropriate resources.Monitor systems and data network to ensure 24x7 uptime.Lead infrastructure related projects, which include design, configuration, planning, and installation.Ensure compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures.Capacity planning and monitoring of system utilizationDevelop best practices, operational procedures and design documentationProvide technical guidance to staff in all aspects of I.T. infrastructure.Provide support of desktop hardware and software, Mobile Devices (laptops, Blackberry), printers copiers, scanners, fax, phone.Rotational on-call responsibility.Configure and deploy desktop PCs, laptops and phones.Support office moves/adds/changes.Support videoconferencing and Audiovisual systems.Track hardware and software inventory and licensing.Data backups, retention, and restores.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 A 4 year college degree, preferably in a technical discipline.All applicants applying must be authorized to work in the United States.7+ years of I.T. Infrastructure support experience.2+ years of managing an IT help desk.Able to work extended hours on occasion, travel, and be available to accept and work problem calls outside normal tour hours as directed by management.Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Task oriented individual, capable of taking ownership of projects and bringing them to fruition.  Ability to work independently and collaboratively.  Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.Excel in a fast paced and dynamic environment.  Ability to work well under pressure while keeping a professional demeanor.Ability to support very demanding end users and critical technologies.Solid experience with the support and administration of Microsoft Exchange and Blackberry devices.Excellent organizational and time/task management skills.

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL ALSO HAVE:

 Technical Certifications (Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSE, MCSA)Experience with data network configuration and security including switches, firewalls, VPN, VLAN, anti-virus, Active Directory, DNS, routing, distributed authentication.Experience with data encryption technologies. Experience with Storage Networking (iSCSI, Fiber Channel, EMC)Experience with VMWare Administration (ESX Enterprise)Demonstrated capacity for project planning and infrastructure documentation.Knowledge of Cisco VOIP PBX, and Etrali turret phone systemsProgramming/Scripting ability with VB, Perl, etc…UNIX system administration experience
