Job Description
This dynamic and exciting position supports the Information Technology Services group in the development of the CACHE (Coin and Currency Handling Environment) system to be used throughout the Federal Reserve System. This application will support the Cash line of business and automate and enhance the cash operations environment.
Essential Job Functions:
• Manage all ITS deliverables to completion for the CACHE (Coin and Currency Handling Environment) project
• Work with the ITS team and with internal and external business partners on application and infrastructure architecture/design component deliverables including Business Intelligence, Data Migration Strategies, Security Frameworks, Enterprise Service Bus, Simulators, etc.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead complex cross-functional projects
• Works with the ITS team to identify, propose, and influence business solutions, negotiate deliverables, and deliver requirements
Responsibilities:
• Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations
• Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of the customer
• Assembles project plans and assigns, direct, and monitors work efforts
• Identifies resourced needs
• Escalates functional, quality, and timelines issues appropriately
• Must be able to multi-task and meet aggressive milestones and deadlines
• Conduct status meetings and prepare status reports for senior management
• Resolve outstanding issues
• Document all meeting minutes
Essential Skills
Position Requirements
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• A minimum of 7 years of project management experience
• Full understanding of development methodologies, consulting best practices, and common web and application architectures
• Strong working knowledge of project management tools, including MS Project and Visio
• Ability to work with clients at all levels and internal/external team members from different disciplines
• Ability to understand and translate business requirements to technical specifications
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Working knowledge and experience in developing web applications using JAVA, MQ Series, WebSphere
• Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture, Business Intelligence and/or ETL
Desired Skills:
• PMP certification
• Familiarity with CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration)
• Prior experience with IBM development tools such as RAD, WID
• Business Objects
• Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB)
