Usability and Human Factors Internship Human Factors/Usability Analyst candidate will be responsible for performing User Interface/Usability reviews of PFPC's client facing and back office web applications. The candidate will be responsible for conducting application reviews to evaluate navigation, workflow and operational efficiency of user interfaces. Additional responsibilities include documentation of user feedback, information hierarchy, screen layouts and consistency with industry best practices. Other responsibilities will include participation in the design and development of prototype screens/wireframes for new applications as creation/execution of Usability tests. Business Systems Analyst InternshipBusiness Systems Analyst candidate must posses fundamental knowledge associated with performing structured systems analysis and requirements definition. Candidate will be responsible for working as a member of the overall Shared Services Systems Analyst team and will be responsible for assisting with analysis tasks including requirements elicitation, definition, use case modeling, business process modeling, and test case creation. Experience with UML modeling and Structured Systems Analysis techniques preferred but not mandatory. Project assignments will include analysis associated with new application/component development as well as extending existing application functionality. Quality Assurance InternshipQuality Assurance Intern candidate must possess fundamental knowledge associated with performing structured quality assurance analysis, test case definition and execution while adhering to industry standard best practices. The candidate will function as a member of the overall Shared Services QA team and will be responsible for assisting with QA tasks including test planning (creation of test strategy, test cases), manual execution of test cases, defect management, and test automation where applicable. Experience with quality assurance best practices, test case creation (functional, integration, positive, negative, regression), and test automation tools preferred, but not required. Project assignments will include test analysis and test case creation associated with new development as well as enhancements to existing systems. J2EE Software Developer Internship J2EE Software Developer Internships must possess knowledge and J2EE and Relational Databases with some proficiency in Java development (Eclipse) and SQL (preferably Oracle). Familiarity with Tomcat (alternatively Geronimo or Jetty) is required, and experience with IBM Websphere is a plus. Basic Linux skills and SSH preferred.
