Informational Management Report Writer

We are currently seeking an Informational Management Report Writer who will effectively manage, maintain, and extend Cole Taylor Bank’s data and reporting environment at our Rosemont, IL headquarters.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Create, modify, and manage a portfolio of reports including management, analysis, informational and audit reporting for all divisions of the bank. Assist user community with reporting, analysis, and automation.
- Manage and support the operations of the bank’s data information system and user community. Responsible for the data accessibility and transformation of data to and from the data warehouse, optical and other data base management systems within the Bank.
- Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing report procedures and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
- Creation and modification of documentation on process flow of information, procedures for report creation, and business use of information.
- Communicate reporting changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
- Liaison for various business groups in the organization to facilitate implementation of new or improved reporting processes. Advising department and line managers regarding appropriate, effective, and efficient use of organizational reporting capabilities and functions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the field of computer science or information management systems, and 3-4 years related work experience.
- Proven experience with reporting tools, software, and other applications, including Brio, Hyperion, Microsoft Reporting Services, and Crystal.
- Considerable exposure to the operation and analysis of Microsoft SQL and Oracle relational database software and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Self-starter who takes initiative in identifying opportunities for system and process improvements.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
