Instructional Designer I

The American Express Learning Network is seeking experienced Instructional Designers with in-depth knowledge of Adult Learning Theory and highly developed writing skills. This position is responsible for designing, developing and integrating training through a variety of multi-media and classroom based instruction methodologies including web based, computer based, electronic workbook, CD ROM and print. This position will also be responsible for the complete cycle of product management including design, layout and project management. American Express is an Equal Opportunity Employer. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 3 yrs of experience using a variety of CBT/WBT software. Knowledge of MS office applications required. Experience in client consulting and needs analysis. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under minimal direction in evaluating needs and requirements for program development. Must be creative and able to reset priorities and use available resources to meet changing needs and goals. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be able to relate to all levels of management and employees. A Bachelor degree is strongly desired in Instructional Design or similiar, Masters of Instructional Design is a plus.
