Java Developer

Job Description:  As a member of the Automated Business Development organization, you will develop desktop applications, web applications and web services. Build highly complex solutions that integrate with multiple internal systems and external partner solutions. Resolve bugs. Review and comprehend business and functional requirement specifications and successfully translate these into proven architectures. Effectively communicate system constraints and capabilities to business partners and provide insights during discovery phase of projects. Build unit plans and execute unit tests.  Requirements:  Excellent communication skills are required. Must be able to effectively communicate and work effectively with all levels of business and technology partners. 5+ years experience in designing/developing scalable solutions and applications Extensive experience programming in Java Knowledge and extensive experience in J2EE development, deployment, best practices, contemporary development methodologies a plus Extensive experience developing Web-based applications Understanding of System, Applications and Web Tier level performance monitoring Extensive experience in Oracle Database concepts - Oracle 9 & 10, SQL and PL/SQL, schema design, SQL optimization, tuning UI Technologies - D/HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSP, AJAX, Servlet, XML, XSLT, Session Management Backend - EJB, Hibernate, MQ Web Services - SOAP, WS-* Linux/Unix, shell scripting WebSphere 6.1.x PFPC, a member of The PNC Financial Services Group, is a leading provider of processing, technology and business solutions for the global investment industry.
