Lead Datawarehouse Analyst

As a Lead Data Warehouse Analyst you perform database analysis and design in solving complex problems. You define architecture, including database structures and metadata, and develop and maintain best practices for data extraction, data loading, and data transformation into and out of a data warehouse and the integrated data hub. You serve as technical lead and consultant for the data analysis, extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) between source systems and enterprise data stores. As such, you ensure that a consensus among the business users for best practices has been achieved before implementation. Additionally, you define and manage the architecture and infrastructure, honing flexibility and extensibility of the data warehouse and integrated data hub. Ensures accurate and timely delivery of systems lifecycle deliverables. Coordinate teams of developers to deliver assigned projects and support implemented systems within the group and across groups needed. Works with database administration, developers, analyst programmers, enterprise architects, project managers and sponsors, and IT management.The applications this position will support consist of very large data stores that are used for decision support and operational purposes. This position will be responsible for assuring robust architecture, reliable operation and consistent availability. In addition the position will be responsible for interacting as a lead point of contact with other groups and the LOB for enhancements and upgrades. During outages this position will assist as required to restore service and provide customer communication.QualificationsFive years data warehousing experience. Skilled in analysis and detailed design of data movement modules. Hands-on knowledge and experience with Informatica, Cobol, DB2, and Oracle. Experience with systems development lifecycle methodologies and project deliverable creation. Must be able to work with diverse project teams. Analysis, design, consulting, and team leadership skills are required. Understanding of major data warehousing concepts and techniques. Strong facilitation skills as well as oral and written communications. Familiarity with relational and dimensional modeling concepts a plus.
