Leader Associate Job Description: The Banking Center Manager Associate is responsible for completing a professional sales management training program which combines on-the-job and classroom training to prepare the associate for placement as a Leader in a Banking Center. Upon successful completion of the program, the associate may be placed in an Assistant Manager or Banking Center Manager position based upon business need and demonstrated abilities. Banking Center Managers and Assistant Managers are responsible for leading a team of sales and service professionals to meet and exceed aggressive sales goals and service targets. They also work with customers to uncover and satisfy the financial needs. Successful managers spend 50% or more of their time on the sales floor of their banking centers greeting customers, directing them to the appropriate areas of the center, and ensuring that the customers' needs are met, while observing their team in action 'through the eyes of the customer." They spend 25% of their time coaching their teams on the proper execution of key banking center "plays" while role modeling the desired behaviors. The remainder of the manager's time is spent selling to individual customers and managing the day to day aspects of running a banking center. Required Skills: High School Diploma/GED; Within the last five years, must have minimum of one to three years of direct management or supervisory experience leading, motivating, and developing a team of five or more associates in a service-focused environment; One year or more of sales experience in a goal and/or commission-based environment; Ability to manage difficult situations with customers and provide clients with information, data, and advice; Develop client relationships and build and develop partnerships with customers, suppliers and colleagues; Plan, direct, and monitor sales activities; Coach and motivate front-line employees and conduct performance evaluations. Desired Skills: Management, sales, and/or service experience in the following fields: banking/financial services, mortgage, retail, or hospitality; Ability to study market research and trends and achieve forecasts; Bilingual (fluent verbal and written) skills.
