Legal Counsel Immediate opening for an attorney looking for an inhouse practice with 10 other inhouse attorneys to do technology related legal work (including licensing, service agreements, consulting agreements, risk assessment, and litigation management). Patent law background a plus. Financial institution experience a big plus.Zions inhouse counsel are responsible for representing and rendering legal advice to Zions Bancorporation, Zions technology company, and affiliated financial companies regarding issues affecting operations such as retail banking, lending, trust, investments, loan documentation, employment, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, bankruptcy, collateral foreclosures, collections, and contracts. Inhouse counsel also draft agreements and pleadings, respond to internal and external legal requests and demands, perform legal research, attend and represent company's interests at legal proceedings, and employ and oversee work performed by outside attorneys.Inhouse counsel are also responsible to exercise legal judgment in matters with potentially significant financial and legal exposure.
