Loan Administration Specialist

 Boston Private Bank and Trust Company provides banking and investment services to individuals, their families and their business. It has an investment management emphasis on mid to large cap equity and actively managed fixed income portfolios. -Daily preparation of loan servicing general ledger reconcilements.

-Prepare remittances and reconcilements for investor and participation loans.

-Set up servicing retained investor loans and book sale entries to GL.

-Process exception transactions according to department policy.  Effectively communicate and follow up with clients and loan officers as necessary.

-Monitor subsidized loan transfers and schedule changes.  Perform account maintenance and communicate with clients as necessary.  Communicate required information to MHP.  Close subsidy accounts and process refunds as instructed.

-Assist with answering client and staff inquiries and performing research as needed. 

-Process scheduled payment changes on interest only mortgages and Home Equity Lines of Credit. Communicate changes to clients and Loan Officers.

-Monitor PMI loans to ensure compliance with federal regulations.  Maintain termination request file and associated correspondence.

-Perform routine servicing functions and provide effective backup as assigned.

-Audit files for completeness and accuracy of servicing information.
-Timely compilation of documentation for subpoenaed loan files.

- Perform periodic inventory of files and original documentation securing loans.

- Perform other servicing duties as requested.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

-Minimum 3 years experience servicing commercial and mortgage loans.

-Experience and understanding of loan GL reconcilements and investor accounting.

-Working knowledge of lending regulations such as RESPA, Truth in Lending, Homeowners Protection Act, National Flood Insurance Program and FACT Act as they relate to servicing functions.

-Excellent customer service skills.
-Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.

-Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Ability to work with speed and accuracy with strong attention to detail.
