   Loan Documentation Specialist II 

 

 

General Summary

 

Primary job function is to prepare bank loan documentation within existing bank policy and procedures for the Midwest Bank and Trust Company.  Ensures documentation complies with all applicable statutes and regulations.  Provides service to bank staff in a professional manner maintaining positive customer relationships.

 Essential functions

1) Prepare loan documents for consumer, real estate and less complicated commercial loan transactions within existing Loan Policy and Procedure guidelines.

 

2) Knowledge of general secured and unsecured loan documentation and collateral perfection

 

3) Order various loan related searches

 

4) Reviews loan packages for completeness and accuracy prior to forwarding documents to the appropriate party

 

5) Keep abreast of bank policies and procedures as well as compliance law to ensure that documents are being completed properly.

 

6) Communicate with loan officers, loan administrative personnel, and loan documentation staff concerning any documentation omissions or problems relative to the credit request.

 

7) Knowledge of Uniform Commercial Code

 

8) Provide loan documentation coverage as needed and requested, with occasional weekend coverage required

 Additional Duties

 Qualifications

Ø High School diploma or equivalency.

Ø Minimum 2-3 years loan documentation experience with an Illinois Commercial Bank.

Ø Proficient knowledge and experience with Laser Pro Windows loan documentation system.

Ø Proficient typing and word processing skills such as Word and Excel computer application systems

Ø Knowledge of Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and general secured and unsecured loan documentation.

Ø Organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines and loan documentation production goals

Ø Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively and tactfully with customers, department staff and Group staff
