Loan Documentation Specialist Req 39027

Job Purpose:

To provide high quality, cost efficient servicing through preparation of business loan documentation and performing due diligence activities for the Chicagoland Banking segment that will assist the Bank in building and sustaining a positive reputation in the market and achieving financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documentation for business loans using Laser Pro
• Coordinate/perform/review due diligence for business loans
• Analyze documentation to extract critical information for input into operating systems;
• Assist Loan Administrators in processing loan documentation
• Adheres to policies and controls and directs others to do the same
• Analyzes and resolves recurring problems/issues independently; able to handle more complex referrals with management guidance
• Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements and participate in implementation
• Participate on various project teams to enhance service and quality
• Assess risk components associated with responsibilities
• Coach/train other staff members
• Interacts with similar levels within and outside the organization
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or 4 years of related work experience;
• Excellent knowledge of legal documentation (including complex real estate and SBA loans)
• Experience using Laser Pro or similar loan documentation software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and experience;
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
• Strong PC skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent understanding of the credit process and related systems
