 The Corporate Consultant is responsible for identifying, acquiring, and growing small business loan volume (sales) through new profitable small business relationships that create value for the customer and yield loan commitments. This exciting position is ideal for someone skilled in assessing financial needs and proposing customized packages of financial products and services. The Corporate Consultant partners with small business owners to find solutions, and effectively manages the loan process from origination through booking. The essential responsibilities of this position include: Maintain in –depth understanding of all credit policies and procedures Identify acceptable credit policy exceptions that still ensure superior asset quality Handle 20-30 phone calls per day from the field Must negotiate and sell CCA products and credit decisions to the field. Be proactive in the reconsideration of declined facilities

 

Skills Needed:  Able to understand and apply Credit Policies and Procedures. Works well in high volume environment. Excellent Communication skills both verbal and written. Knowledge of financial services industry preferred. Customer focused. Must be proficient with spreadsheet software and word Strong analytical skills and the ability to assimilate complex information Interact with clients to gather information for the loan request and learn about the clients business.   Should possess 2 years + or more experience in Commercial/ Business banking lending, underwriting, with expert knowledge of business credit processes and products. This is preferred but not required.  Strong Communication and negotiating skills are important to be successful Good understanding of small business lending and consumer lending is preferred but is not required. Good knowledge of consumer credit scoring systems and commercial credit scoring systems and consumer credit scores is preferred but is not required.
