Job Summary

 

Manages customer relationship for the existing loan and guarantee portfolio by developing and implementing credit strategies that promote business success and job creation.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

1. Works independently to provide superior customer service to closed loan/guarantee customer relationships within a portfolio and formulates credit strategies to promote business.  Formulates credit strategies to promote business success that are customized based on borrower needs, credit exposure, industry constraints, business location and other factors.

 

2. Meets with customers to evaluate business and mentoring needs to encourage business success. Assists with developing credit strategies that measure results against plan. Conducts site visits with Special Loan Management Officers on higher risk loans to encourage earliest possible detection of problem credits to maximize resolution/collection.

 

3. Receives, reviews and manages all aspects of the customer relationship including ordering and reviewing financial statements/financial projections, supporting financial schedules (cash flow reports, aging reports), appraisals, insurances, credit/judgment searches.

 

4. Prepares analyses (new/closed loan file review reports, site visit reports, memoranda) including risk rating changes recommendations to identify/correct credit weakness.

 Participates in weekly divisional meetings to identify critical credit or policy issues that may impact divisional procedures that align with organizational goals.

 Participates in quarterly rated accounts meeting with the Director of Portfolio Services, Director Portfolio Review and Senior Vice President to discuss formulated recommendation on critical or high risk accounts.

 Attends in-house and outside seminars in pertinent subjects including financial statement analysis, portfolio management, collateral control and legal issues.

 

Required Skills and Abilities

 Most possess excellent written and verbal skills.

 Strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills are essential.

 Must be able to work independently and process multiple complex projects while prioritizing workflow.

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Programs. 

 

 

Required Qualifications

 

Education and Experience Requirements

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent professional experience

Five years of financial or banking experience including commercial credit training, lending, loan review

Valid Drivers License

 Position Requirements

 

Must complete a Conflict of Interest Law, Disclosure of Outside Office or Employment Statement form annually.
