The loan review function is performed to ensure a quality loan portfolio for the company. The function is accomplished through periodic review of various portfolios and management reporting. The Loan Review Analyst IV is a senior position and involves significant responsibility and workloads. The person in this position is expected to routinely solve more difficult problems and perform in depth analyses of all types and sizes of credit. They are given considerable discretion in their decisions, discussions with management and frequently are responsible for larger portfolio/market reviews. They are also responsible for monitoring portfolio asset quality, identifying trends from monthly data and being conversant about risks/opportunities.

Note:  This position will be in the Chicago area.  Specific location is flexible.Required Skills·Strong credit analysis and loan documentation skills. (Commercial)·Well developed written and verbal communications skills including presentations.·PC experience - Word, Excel, Power Point and Access ·Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, auditors and regulators is essential.·3-5 years commercial lending and/or regulatory background preferredRequired ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in finance or business administration preferable. On the job training in commercial lending, loan review and/or credit necessary. Experience: Seven or more years of experience in loan review, commercial lending (with an emphasis on commercial real estate and construction and development) or credit underwriting/ analysis.AMCORE Bank values a diverse workforce.
