We are looking for an experienced professional for the newly created  role of Loan Specialist supporting our Small Business Development Officer (SBDO).   In this position you will be provide administrative and operational support to the SBDO in the processing of loan applications and credit file packaging for new small business loan clients.  You will ensure new client loan applications and required credit documentation files are accurate and complete to include packaging the loan application and required credit information to send to our Loan Processing Unit for final decision and approval. 

In this position you will:Gather information from new small business loan clients to assist them in completing loan applications and assembling required credit and business information. Organize loan applications and required credit information according to established procedures, and package the application and all required credit and business information. Refer larger-sized loans and certain SBA loans to the appropriate internal unit for investigation and follow up. May accompany SBDO on new client meetings to obtain required business and credit information on the client and to become familiar with he client's business. Regularly track the stages of active and pending loans. 

 

To join our team, you will need: Associate's Degree in Business or related field (degree preferred) 2 years of related experience Strong analytical skills Credit experience strongly preferred  Ability to build effective relationships and trust with customers, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally Strong oral and written communication skills Strong problem-solving, negotiation and follow up skills Ability to develop personal knowledge of bank products, sales and service techniques Computer literacy required
