Apply your mind, heart and entrepreneurial talents with the industry’s leading team, and discover why top-performing mortgage professionals excel with us.  * December 2006 SEC filing.   Loan Specialist II   Primary Responsibilities Include:·  Processing FHA, VA and Conventional Mortgage Loans·  Reviewing applications for completeness·  Inputting and updating data in EDGE and CLUES·  Accepting HELOC and/or conventional, conforming underwriting-authority·  Acting as the primary point-of-contact for customers·  Ordering Appraisal, Flood and Title·  Following-up on receipt of third-party documentation and services and documentation requested from customer·  Reviewing incoming documentation and confirming data integrity of CLUES·  Completing EDGE underwriter-screens and running final CLUES·  Clearing conditions and readying transactions for loan closing·  Escalating any issues that impact CLUES and updating system-status as necessary·  Using the decision-path of CLUES and AUS technology to gather credit-documentation from customers and third-party vendors·  Ensuring the integrity of the CLUES and AUS decisions·  Ensuring that loans are processed in accordance with Countrywide’s policies and procedures   A Successful Candidate Will Have:·  High school diploma or GED·  3+ years experience in a Mortgage Lending and/or Financial Services environment—preferably pre-qualifying, reviewing and analyzing loan documents·  2+ years of Conventional, FHA, VA and Loan Processing experience·  Knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to the mortgage-banking industry (i.e. TILA, ECOA, etc.) ·  Expertise in and experience providing value-added customer service in a fast-paced environment·  Experience using automated financial- and/or loan-tracking systems·  Working knowledge of business mathematics·  Strong communicational skills and ability to effectively interact with customers and realtors   The Ideal Candidate May Also Possess:·  College degree or completion of college coursework (towards a degree) in a related discipline·  Understanding of Countrywide's divisional, mortgage-lending administration processes and procedures·  10-key, calculator and computer-software skills   Countrywide is committed to leveraging the talent of a diverse workforce to create great opportunities for our business and our people.
