Loss Mitigation- Client Specialist

SunTrust Bank is rapidly expanding our Loss Mitigation unit and we are looking for experienced professionals for our Client Specialist role! As part of the centralized Loss Mitigation Center, the Client Specialist is primarily responsible for acting as the liaison for our distribution channels as well as our external clients.  Incumbent is responsible for communicating the loan approval decision, the loan coordination process, schedule closings when applicable, up-selling the loan amounts and educating the client on the benefits of loan utilization with our internal and external mortgage and consumer line clients.  This position is empowered to make loan decisions and adjust interest rates on loans in order to meet the customer’s needs while protecting the Bank’s interests (credit and compliance).  This role requires in-depth knowledge of consumer lending, mortgage, and related products. Incumbent must have the ability to resolve all Consumer Lending and Mortgage inquiries and provide sales support in a customer service/call center environment.   Minimum Requirements: * College degree and/or equivalent work experience * 2+ years experience selling, approving and/or structuring consumer home equity line and/or mortgage loans * Ability to analyze financial documents such as financial statements, real estate appraisals, titles and tax returns Preferred Qualifications:  * College Degree in Finance or Business Administration * Prior credit experience strongly preferred* Strong influencing skills, customer service delivery and problem solving skills * Experience with the delivery of consumer loan products through a centralized sales channel* Prior call center experience Location:1001 Semmes AveRichmond, VA“Riverview” building Hours:Monday-Friday10:00AM- 7:00PM OR11:00AM- 8:00PM OR12:00PM- 9:00PM*All shifts include a rotating Saturday ½ dayExempt/Salaried position *Multiple positions available If you are interested in this opportunity, please visit our website at www.suntrust.com/careers and apply online for job #140655.
