POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Incumbent Processes a variety of loan types (including auto/consumer, home equity, and first mortgage) to facilitate work out plans, modifications, refinances into specialized products, debt consolidations, and general payment plans for members with provable hardship. Must be solutions oriented, able to work in a fast paced environment, and effectively handle a variety of tasks, working closely with various elements of loss mitigation.  Incumbent has the ability to offer creative ideas and/or opportunities for loss mitigation.  Corresponds with members, brokers, title companies, appraisers and attorneys to enable pathways for problem resolution.  Collects and validates member information and has the ability to work closely and positively across departmental lines. Is knowledgeable and effective across various product lines.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

Job duties and skills to include:

*  Strong computer skills (i.e. Microsoft office suite).

*  General understanding of mortgage and consumer lending

*  Understanding of loan processing and underwriting

*  Effective listening, communication, organization and decision making skills

*  Knowledgeable in collection standards.

*  Effective in-bound and out-bound calls handling on delinquent accounts that are in pre-mitigation/mitigation process

*  Must gather and validate information, analyze documents, prepare/maintain files.

*  Knowledge of property value assessment tools

*  Works effectively with third party vendors including, but not limited to, appraisers, realtors,  and insurance companies

*  Able to effectively understand simple and complex residential real estate contracts and able to engage addendums, counter offers, short sale confirmation letters, representation letters, etc.

*  Team player in all aspect of the process.
