Loss Mitigation/Workout Specialist

Accredited Home Lenders is looking for a Loss Mitigation/Workout Specialist!  The Loss Mitigation/Workout Specialist will initiate contact with delinquent borrowers to determine the ability & willingness to pay.  Analyze, recommend & negotiate a viable long term solution.

Essential Job Functions:Contacts all delinquent accounts-Collect to cure delinquency in compliance with FDCPA, utilizing all collection tools.  Perform financial counseling, including analysis of personal financial statements and credit reports. Discuss reason for default and determine ability to pay.Recommend loss mitigation strategy to minimize loss.  Recommend foreclosure or other options upon determination of inability to pay.  Analyze, recommend and negotiate short sales, note sales, DIL and forbearance plans to Loss Mitigation Manager.Accurately project month end results on a timely basis.  Actively and effectively use all collection tools. Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have two plus years of related experience.  Knowledge of Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Escrow and Title duties required.  Candidate will have an understanding of loss severities.  Intermediate Excel and Word skills are a plus.
