MORTGAGE LOAN UNDERWRITERS/DUE DILIGENCE PROFESSIONALS
MDMC is a premier due diligence review and agency delivery company that has been in business since 1992. Our primary business is the review of residential mortgage loans to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines for the purchase or put back of such loans by our clients. Our clients include many different financial institutions, investment banks and mortgage insurance companies.
Candidates are being sought to fill a contract underwriter position with the possibility of longer term.
Job Functions:Review, examine and underwrite loans to ensure soundness, value and compliance with client and investor guidelinesExamine overall loan documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and fraud preventionUnderwrite loans in compliance with internal and regulatory guidelinesAssess loan attributes and documentation for soundness and accuracyReview, evaluate and synthesize data to ascertain loan viability, and identity risk issues and potential fraudEvaluate debt ratio, loan-to-value ratios, credit scores, property valuation, reasonableness of income, and various other factorsReview, inspect and validate standard loan applications for completeness, accuracy and soundnessDetermine and document loan conditions
Requirements:Minimum of 2 years underwriting experience in 1-4 family residential loans (front-end or due diligence underwriting experience preferred)Experience with DU/LP and other automated systemsKnowledge of scratch and dent, non-performing, fraud investigation, EPD’s, and or sub-prime loans Strong communication skills (verbal and written), a high degree of analytical and negotiation skillsIntermediate-level computer skillsAmbition and strong work ethic are critical requirements for successAbility to meet deadlinesAvailable for work immediately, and ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
