Job Description
The Federal Reserve Public Affairs department produces publications, web sites and various graphic production pieces for the district. All graphic work is done on the Macintosh platform. We are looking for a talented Macintosh Systems Consultant to support all the duties related to managing and maintaining our Macintosh network within the global Windows XP environment.

Job Duties
Manage and support Macintosh network including server, RAID, backup systems, workstations and related information (including serial numbers and licensing) for department graphics group. Keep all systems updated, tested and current to support best practices. Closely monitor, track, report and implement all security related issues that affect the Macintosh environment according to system standards. Engage in strategic planning and delivery and set up of equipment. Successfully troubleshoot all Macintosh related problems. Act as advocate and liaison with local and System ITS department(s). Meets and maintains all risk management standards communications and documents. Learn new skills as required to keep abreast with current technology. Strong ability to manage several projects concurrently while prioritizing work to meet deadlines.

Essential Skills
Minimum five years experience and proficiency in Macintosh OSX system, server and network environment. Must have understanding of how to seamlessly enable Macintosh platform to connect and perform within the larger Windows XP network. Thorough knowledge of Macintosh graphic and web design software with demonstrated ability to successfully resolve related technical problems. Proven ability to work independently while incorporating sound planning, judgment and decision skills. Proven efficiency in written and oral communications.Diverse applicants are encouraged to apply.
