Allstate was founded in 1931 and became a publicly traded company in 1993.CONSUMER 2.0 CHANGE MANAGER Role Summary Reporting to a Sr. Manager leading Corporate Journey Management Strategy the selected candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of the change management strategy, plan and approach resulting in the successful deployment of enhanced consumer driven capabilities across the enterprise. Consumer 2.0 is part of Allstate's Strategic Vision, focused on identifying consumer trends and building new products, services and capabilities to better meet consumer needs in today's fast paced and highly competitive marketplace. Effective change management plays a critical role in identifying, leading and enabling necessary organizational change to attain seamless product integration and speed to market. The change management responsibilities are critical to the strategic leadership and are the foundation of the journey management leadership strategy which enables organizational change through impact assessments, engagement, enterprise awareness, targeted communications and the monitoring of enterprise acceptance measures and business results. While change management is the more tactical approach to supporting the Consumer 2.0 vision, journey management synthesizes these tactics by providing the long term strategy for enterprise-wide acceptance and increased Return on Investment. Leadership Requirements The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to regularly interact with and learn about all areas of Allstate, engaging with both employees and senior level leadership to assess project interdependencies, identify impacted areas and execute change management strategies. As a result, this position is assigned broad accountabilities including regular enterprise-wide leadership, employee and agency interaction with direct accountability for Consumer 2.0 program awareness and enterprise-wide support. Responsibilities Develop change management strategy to: Map enterprise stakeholders, dependencies and risks Determine enterprise collaboration points and messaging Align planning and results with enterprise objectives Apply change management best practice to: Build a "grass roots" understanding of the Consumer 2.0 strategic vision and accomplishments Lead a coordinated cross-functional approach to communication and leadership engagement Partner with business and technology to ensure that solutions become part of day-to-day business Drive behavior change with select employees, agents and leadership Monitor and evaluate to: Track the results of business readiness and impact assessments Measure Consumer 2.0 enterprise acceptance and quantify the business impact Provide guidance to project teams based on stakeholder feedback Individual Skills and Capabilities Confident self-starter willing to take risks and interact proactively across the enterprise. 5-7 year proven track record in leading cross-functional teams to achieve business goals is a must. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) are essential. College degree required - MBA preferred. Prior experience in companies with multiple marketing distribution points will be an advantage. Prior change management and/or insurance industry experience is a definite plus. In addition, the following are essential: Critical thinker, demonstrating strategic and conceptual skills, identifying and clearly articulating immediate and longer term impact of business decisions. Innovator with an aptitude for creating and developing new ideas, approaches and solutions to existing long term challenges. Does not accept the "status quo" if there is room for improvement. Negotiator who identifies and respects all points of view, even those in opposition to deliver a winning strategy that all sides can agree on. Hands-on project manager who accepts full accountability for business results and focuses on the consumer experience.
