Manager: Financial Analysis and Reporting

Currently, our Finance group is seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis to join the team. This position is responsible for managing the reporting and analysis of firm-wide financial results, coordinating and preparing periodic forecasts and detailed monthly variance analysis/commentary and maintaining/monitoring financial control processes. The function requires a highly motivated individual with a proven background in financial reporting and analysis, financial controls, financial modeling, budgeting and experience with managing projects. The position also requires a fundamental knowledge and experience with general accounting, accounting policy/concepts and controls. The function is expected to possess or quickly develop a good understanding of the banking and wealth management business and supporting processes in order to provide value added analysis and business insights. He/she will work closely with the CFO and other team members and supervise at least one financial analyst. This person will be expected to lead the coordination and consolidation for all monthly and periodic financial reporting deliverables, create analytical and graphical reports to summarize and review actual and forecast performance, and assist in preparation of senior management level presentation materials. The position requires working closely with the corporate accounting, other financial analyst teams, Fiduciary’s business units and senior management in order to meet reporting deadlines and provide critical and recurring analysis to aid management decision making. The person will be challenged to apply critical thinking and analytical skills along with disciplined project management experience to meet tight deadlines and evolving business needs. The major areas of responsibility include: Monthly senior management reporting and analysis Monthly budget to actual variance analysis, business highlights and summary commentary Creating analytical/financial models Preparing high quality management presentations Manage Corporate Planning Process • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; (or other finance major with appropriate experience) combined with 4 years of corporate reporting and analysis or 4 years of general accounting or audit experience in Banking, Wealth Management or Asset Management. • CPA or CMA is strongly preferred • Strong quantitative and analytical skills • Excellent organizational skills combined with strong attention to details • Strong commitment to confidentiality • Ability to work independently and manage/meet multiple project deadlines • Effective meeting management skills • Strong writing skills and ability to succinctly present the key points of analysis as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills • Willingness and ability to travel about 10% of the time. • Advanced level Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills including experience creating charts, graphs and other data analysis tools.
