Manager, Fund Accounting

American Capital’s Fund Accounting Group provides accounting services for investment funds managed by American Capital and its affiliates.  The Fund Accounting Group is searching for candidates to fill a Manager of  Fund Accounting/Administration position to support the back office operations of a newly formed public Agency REIT Fund. The Agency REIT will invest exclusively in single-family residential mortgage pass-through securities and collateralized mortgage obligations, for which the principal and interest payments are guaranteed by a U.S. Government agency such as Ginnie Mae, or a U.S. Government-sponsored entity such Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (collectively “agency securities”). Candidates must be pro-active, detail oriented, possess excellent documentation and communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Position requires collaboration with trade operations group and other internal departments.   Candidates must possess a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance and 5 to 8 years of experience.  Knowledge of financial markets and agency securities is a plus.   Primary responsibilities include oversight of the accounts and records of Agency REIT fund and performance of other administrative services pursuant to the fund operating agreements.
