This position is responsible for managing and developing online products, services, and features for the online channel. This person will work closely with our technology, marketing, customer service, financial center, usability, and research teams to determine customer needs, define product requirements, and develop unique selling propositions for their products, services, and functions.
This person will be responsible for defining product features, competitive analysis, benefits and pricing analysis, developing business cases and managing cross-functional teams as appropriate to develop and launch each new product or feature. In addition, this person will be responsible for managing escalated operational issues related to the product, and updating and revising field communication and training as needed.
A successful manager will increase the benefit to the company’s bottom line by increasing customer adoption, increasing revenue related to the product, increasing customer retention, and lowering overall expenses for the products, services, and functions.
This person is capable of managing, mentoring, and training lower level online managers.
Essential Job Functions:
• Develop new online products, features, and services
• Work with research teams to conduct primary and secondary research for new concepts
• Develop unique selling propositions, product and feature design and position
• Develop business case for each new product, service, or function, including financial projections, pricing, target audience and marketing strategy
• Work with various cross functional teams to drive implementation
• Work with finance team to develop assumptions and financial models to support new products and features
• Select and manage vendors as needed
• Manage product P&L and ROI
• Drive launch schedule and work with project team to develop project plan
• Work with legal and compliance to ensure products, services, and functions, meet govt. regulations-
• Perform related work as required.
• 5+ years professional working experience. 3+ years of financial services industry experience. Project management, marketing, customer service, sales, and product development experience preferred. Knowledge and experiencing in working with self-service tools is preferred.
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in Retail Banking, Consumer Lending, Mortgage Lending, Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance or Advertising. MBA preferred or equivalent preferred.
• Experience managing a cross-functional team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to work well with people of varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
