Managing Director/ Vice President Enterprise Content Management Product and Strategy
Our client, a business unit who specializes in document imaging and management for the financial-services industry, is in search of a talented Product Head to oversee and lead a talented team of technical experts within a rapidly growing and dynamic organization.
POSITION PURPOSE
Oversee activities related to product strategy and tactical planning, financial management, policy and procedure, employee performance management, client satisfaction, and day-to-day operational performance for Client Services, Delivery/Installation, Technical & IT Support, Professional Services and other functions within the organization.
The right candidate will provide the leadership, strategic vision, and “coaching” to the staff to ensure alignment with company objectives.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports To: Senior Vice President, Products and Infrastructure
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Formulates and oversees strategic product direction, technical capabilities, operating plans, resources allocations, and metrics for software quality, delivery, installation, support, and other activities within division.
2. Determines, facilitates, and achieves goals related to the product, technology, and operating environment within division.
3. Prepares and oversees financial activities related to budget preparation, expense management, sales and business development projections (with Business Development Partner), product-profit management, project-profit management, and other related activities.
4. Conducts feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, operations improvement initiatives, and the establishment/implementation of new or revised methods/technologies to solve business problems.
5. Evaluates and influences technical development environment, features and functional requirement (including hardware, software, operating systems, databases, security, peripherals, etc.), and related expenditures via third-party relationship.
6. Oversees the assignment of staff to various projects, directs their activities, provides feedback and coaching, and develops career progression strategies for staff members.
7. Oversees the hiring, firing, assignment, assessment, and reward of staff members working within the group.
8. Communicates and gains input, acceptance, and support for plans from immediate supervisor and other appropriate executives of the company.
9. Periodically reports status of the product, projects, and other activities of the Group.
10. Speaks publicly on behalf of company about product strategy, direction, capabilities, functionality, integration, and utilization within existing and potential client environments.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education in a related discipline is required. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
Related work experience can be substituted for educational requirements. 15+ related years of progressive product, technology, and business experience, along with experience in technical and non-technical employee supervision, situational leadership, product and project management, and budget/financial management is required.
In depth experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions such as Hyland's Onbase or IBM's FileNet is required.
