Market Research Professional (3019433 CK)

Our client, a payment solutions provider in the on-line retail space, is looking for a market research professional to provide detailed and actionable analysis of their customer base to assist their merchant partners in reaching their full potential.

 

The candidate will have expertise in the application and execution of consumer data and analytics to support the development of merchant-centric business strategies.  He or she will pull, analyze, and deliver detailed reports on our customers that will provide valuable, industry-specific insights on their behavior.  These reports will be utilized to analyze customer spend patterns, validate claims and help prospective merchants understand the value of our customers.

 

Responsibilities include:

· Liaise with sales and marketing teams internally to identify information/data needs

· Develop hypotheses regarding customer spend habits and begin analysis to prove them

· Identify compelling value claims about our customer base (e.g. detailed spend patterns that prove long term loyalty)

· Build and package impactful graphs/charts/slides for several industry verticals that can be used in sales collateral

· Use data mining techniques to develop customer clusters/segments based on spend patterns and "degree of value" (e.g. luxury buyers, frequent users)

· Cross match internal data against external data to provide further detail about our base: FICO scores, Household data, etc. (from bureau)

· Link analysis and results to business issue or objective and provide actionable, strategic recommendations (where appropriate)

· Proactively highlight opportunities to develop, enhance, remove existing data tools 

 

Qualifications Required:

· Experience in data mining and market research

· Bachelor's required - MBA preferred

· Strong quantitative and analytical skill set

· Ability to manipulate large amounts of raw data, draw conclusions and make recommendations

· Strong project management skills - ability to drive projects forward and overcome internal restraints

· Understanding of loyalty marketing and experience in program measurement and test design (e.g. test and control, sample groups)

· Innovative/creative thinker

· Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at once and prioritize accordingly
