Marketing & Communications Director

SUMMARY

Assumes the responsibility of the Marketing and Public Relations for the Bank. Assists in all areas of Investor Relations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Directs the marketing effort through strategically planning and effectively managing all aspects of the Marketing effort.  This would include, but not be limited to:

· Chairing the Marketing Committee

· Interacting with outside vendors

· Assisting in the preparation of the Marketing Budget

· Product Development

· Responsible for the production of the Employee Quarterly Newsletter

· Develops the strategic vision and direction of the Bank’s marketing program

 

Chairs the Bank's Philanthropy committee.  Develops a budget and approves expenditures to ensure maximum benefit to both the Community and the Bank.

 

Assumes the responsibility of the bank's Public Relations program by:

· Serving as primary contact and liaison to civic groups, charitable organizations, etc., to ensure positive relationships

· Developing and maintaining a positive relationship with the media so that adequate publicity is received

· Participating regularly in community affairs to ensure bank's visibility and enhancing new business opportunities

· Works with City Presidents to develop PR campaigns to support market goals

· Assist with the specific development of new markets or acquisitions the bank may enter

 

Works closely with the Chairman with all components of Investor Relations by:

· Preparing effective communications that reach appropriate audiences with key messages about the Bank's strategies, direction and vision

· Assisting in the production of the Annual Report

· Assisting with the planning of the Annual Shareholder Meeting

· Traveling and participating in various presentations

· Developing press releases --- quarterly earnings and cash dividend press releases

· Preparing Investor PowerPoint Presentation --- updated quarterly

· Producing Investor Fact Sheet quarterly

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES  

Directly supervises an Administrative Assistant.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of his/her work including completing performance reviews.  Responsibilities include training employee; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or ten to fifteen years related experience.     

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS  

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT
