Marketing Consultant
RESPONSIBILITIES: This individual will support direct marketing efforts for the GBG Mortgage and Retail Credit Marketing Team as business partner with the Mortgage and Retail Credit LOB.This person will work to support his/her manager identify, develop, maximize, and implement direct mail and supplementary advertising strategies in support of the LOB's new customer prospecting, retention and revenue goals. This individual will be responsible for consulting and provide strategic support (creative briefs, campaign strategy documents, etc) to the Creative Services Group (copy, design, production, etc.) and the Centers of Excellence teams (Direct Mail, Insights and Innovation) who in turn are responsible for the implementation and analysis of the programs. Responsibilities include enhancing strategic and consultative relationships with the Retail Credit and Mortgage LOB and GBG Marketing teams; leadership to achieve business, new customer acquisition, retention and revenue goals. The individual will bring direct marketing and/or advertising expertise in support of goals to attract new small business credit line customers; as well as enhance, and deepen/retain relationships with existing retail credit and mortgage customers through retention and utilization programs. The individual will understand key financial services product marketing strategies and the dynamics of the real estate lending. The individual will also have retail credit or mortgage specific direct mail experience. The candidate will be responsible for implementing long term marketing and advertising plans that focus on customers, competition, profitability, product life cycle and service. Manage execution of multiple marketing and advertising projects, report status, resolve problems and recommend solutions. Build and manage relationships with LOB partners as well as other marketing and product managers in various business units. Administer a marketing and advertising budget. Assist in product/creative development. Design and recommend basic enhancements to current marketing programs, promotions, campaigns, materials, etc. Provide input into development and implementation of new promotions, products, strategic plans, and or other marketing activities. Lead and coordinate projects involving resources and or staff from other areas of the organization. Present results and program recommendations to LOB clients. Develop or revise marketing strategies which include financial analysis and goals. REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 5-7 years experience in direct mail marketing in real estate lending products additional business experience preferred. Ability to lead, influence, and manage multiple complex projects and processes simultaneously. Well developed problem solving skills. Extensive knowledge and skills in strategic marketing, planning, market management, market research, sales management, and communications. Proficient level knowledge of financial products' marketing. Knowledge of customers, products and potential markets research. Excellent interpersonal skills required to work with executives and management committees. First-rate verbal, writing and presentation skills. Strong negotiation skills. Demonstrated leadership skills. Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.
