PRIMARY PURPOSE: 

Design and implement an effective advertising / marketing plan to facilitate the penetration of brand recognition throughout the bank footprint.  Develop effective sales campaigns; oversee new product launch and ensure appropriate and timely advertising to ensure maximum results.  Oversee Public and Community Affairs activities. Ensure a positive representation of Sun National Bank in community event participation, charitable contributions and external communications.  Manage the bank’s total marketing budget, including public and community affairs.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design and implement an effective marketing plan to facilitate the penetration of brand recognition throughout the bank footprint.  Oversee the development of marketing / advertising materials necessary to support the defined strategy.

2. Develop effective sales campaigns.  Develop and maintain sales forecast and product planning reports.  Evaluate current portfolio performance to ensure plan goals and objectives are achieved.  Recommend and implement changes as necessary and appropriate.

3. Oversee the launch of new products.  Ensure the effective research and analysis of customer and competitive trends; the development, enhancement and delivery of products and services to attract and retain customer base.  Ensure appropriate and timely advertising to maximize results.

4. Oversee Public and Community Affairs activities.  Ensure a positive representation of Sun National Bank in community event participation, charitable contributions and external communications.  Oversee the ongoing development and maintenance of the Sun National Bank internet and intranet websites.

5. Effectively manage the bank’s overall marketing budget including budgets for public and community affairs. 

6. Maintain an ongoing awareness of customer and competitive information and trends to ensure timely and appropriate response to customer needs.

7. Provide guidance and leadership to the Sales & Marketing Department.  Provide coaching, counseling and developmental support as necessary and appropriate. Manage all personnel related issues including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, recruitment, etc.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Minimum Qualifications)Knowledge-Skills-Abilities

·  Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies.

·  Extensive working knowledge of portfolio analysis and portfolio management.

·  Proven ability to lead and influence at all levels.

·  Demonstrated excellent written verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

·  Strong strategic and tactical planning & analytical skills. Experience and Education

·  10 years progressively responsible professional experience in Sales & Marketing with a minimum of 3 years experience in a banking / financial services environment. 

·  Minimum 3 years experience in a management or leadership capacity.

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or related field preferred.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:  Office environment.  Ability to use hands, fingers, wrists, in order to operate a computer.  Ability to hear and speak clearly in order to communicate simple to complex information to individuals and groups.  Ability to travel throughout bank locations.
