Member Service Representative 1

1. Position Purpose and Objectives

To provide service to members and non-members by accurately and efficiently processing a variety of financial transactions.

 

2. Major Duties and Essential Functions
1.  Use Service Standards in every work related interaction.
2.  Accurately and efficiently performs basic teller transactions within authorized limits including placing appropriate holds.
3.  Able to work independently and with limited supervision.
4.  Process business transactions, wire transfers and any other transactions as necessary.
5.  Balance cash drawer within 15 minutes. 
6.  Promotes and cross-sells to members, Credit Union services and products beneficial to their needs.
7.  Achieve assigned service and ACU/CUSO sales referral goals
8.  Assists in Information Center as needed
9.  Provides member service and assists in resolving problems within given authority, referring when necessary to appropriate Branch staff.
10. Adheres to Security and Robbery Procedures.
11. Adheres to Attendance and Dress Policy
12. Complete required courses outlined in the Individual Training Plan for this position and achieves at least  90% score on tests and
13. Completes annual recertification courses and skill based tests with a minimum score of 90%.
14. Initiates Personal Self-Development and increases knowledge through own efforts.
15. Other duties as necessary to achieve the goals of the Credit Union and branch.
16. Maintains a working knowledge of BSA laws/regulations applicable to area of responsibility; complies with all BSA laws/regulations.
3. Positions directly supervised.  None

4. Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position Ability of accurately handle cash and consistently balance cash drawer. Basic computer and typing skills.

5. Education: Equivalent to a high school education.
 
 Experience: Up to six months of similar or related experience.
