Merchant Services Sales Officer Job Description: Responsible for acquiring new accounts and for the ongoing maintenance of existing accounts. Identifies potential customers, makes contact, and develops strategy for selling merchant service products. Negotiates pricing with customers. May cross-sell other bank products depending upon customer needs and profile. Incumbent spends 50% or more of their time traveling to customer sites away from their primary office. Maintains reports and contact log for purposes of tracking sales and trends. Specific Job Description: Increase product awareness with assigned business partners to facilitate quality referrals that will generate revenue for Bank of America Ensure Accurate, timely and professional responses to all business inquires and application Generate business through channels outside of Bank of America Act as ambassadors of Bank of America with all clients and potential clients to promote further product sales through other lines of business Visit and or communicate with assigned business partners regularly to increase referrals, sales and product awareness Conduct training sessions to identify ideas to cross sell product more effectively Work with prospects in regards to pricing, proposed solution and implementation plan Provide timely accurate and courteous responses to all internal and external inquires Required Skills: Proven sales skills, banking and/or card industry experience a plus College degree preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
